Bob Gross grew up in Rock Hill and moved to Beaufort in 1987. He and wife Cathy have been married for 50 years and have two sons and two grandsons.
Bob enjoys traveling, Cirque du Soleil and Golf.
He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS and ME in Chemical Engineering.
On a professional level he is a registered Professional Engineer in SC, NC and GA, a former senior water regulator at SCDHEC, testified before the US House of Representatives on the direction of the water industry, recognized by the Federal Court as an expert on water quality issues, joined an environmental consulting firm as a partner in 1987, began his own consulting firm in 1998 and has owned two private water and sewer companies.
Bob joined the Sea Island Club in 1995. He is a Paul Harris Fellow (3), Bequest Society Member, has received the Meritorious Service Award, has attended Rotary club meetings in six countries, attended six RI Conventions, is a RLI I, II, III Graduate. In his Rotary Club he has held the positions of Adopt-A-Highway Committee Chair, Blood Drive Committee Chair, Program Committee Member, Club Secretary and Club President. In District 7770 he has been an Assistant Governor and the District Grants Subcommittee Chair.
