INDIA – We all have seen the devastatinging news of COVID-19 Pandemic claiming many, many victims. District 7770 Rotary Ready COVID-19 response is moving forward. A contribution of cash for $10,000.00 from District 7770 Relief Funds will be wired directly to reliable Rotarians in Mumbai to be distributed to local hospitals. We will also be participating in a Global Grant being submitted by four RI Zones which is led by Zone 33 RRFC Nancy Barbee. District 7770 will be donating $10,000 District Designated Funds to this grant which will be matched 100% by The Rotary International Foundation for future development of Oxygen Supply by the end of June, 2021. That amounts to $30,000 response at this time by our District. We may be hearing about other opportunities as they arise; I’ll keep you informed.
Rotary International District 7770 will be collecting the cash funds (non-DDF) for Zones 33 and 34 and then send a wire transfer for the portable ventilators in India.
