Afghanistan – 34 (vs 29 in all of 2019)
Pakistan – 63 (vs 147 in all of 2019)
News:
Polio immunization campaigns have resumed in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Angola & Burkina Faso with strict Covid-19 prevention measures.
The Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) has added a fifth partner, Gavi. Gavi provides vaccines to low income countries. The GPEI now consists of the WHO, CDC, UNICEF, Rotary, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation & Gavi.

District 7770 News:
October is Polio Month! We are again doing a $25,000 DDF Challenge. If all clubs in total raise at least $25,000 in October, our District will contribute $25,000 DDF to fight Polio. Last year our clubs raised $63,000 in October!!! Need Polio Speakers? Virtual or In-person? Please see attachment for a list.
Saturday, October 24, 2020 is World Polio Day. The Covid-19 virus has definitely changed things. There will be NO In-person District WPD Event. However, we are considering going virtual… TBD.
