Warren Lasch Conservation Center: Where Conservation, Preservation, Archaeology and Science Meet
Director Stéphanie Cretté is a Research Professor in Material Sciences and Engineering, an Adjunct Professor in Historic Preservation, and the Director of the Warren Lasch Conservation Center. She received her Masters from the Sciences and Techniques University in Montpellier, France and then her PhD in Chemistry from UNC-Chapel Hill, NC in 2001. Since 2008, she implemented characterization of organic and inorganic materials, for a variety of projects, using analytical techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-ray microanalysis techniques (EDS, WDS, XRF), and micro-FTIR spectroscopy.
