Scott Newitt is known to his friends as “The Firefly Guy.” As he explains it, “that puts me in charge of what goes on outside of the bottle – all of the fun stuff like traveling around the country meeting new people, working with our sales teams, retailers and bartenders, and basically sharing my passion for Firefly across the country.”

Born in Texas, yet raised in Louisiana’s Honey Island Swamp, Scott grew up where he could spend most of his time in the outdoors. As an LSU graduate, he appreciates a good time with good friends and he is very proud of his Southern roots. He enjoys hunting and fishing, but mostly he loves meeting Firefly fans and mixing up his favorite cocktails for tailgates, barbecues, live music events and, really, just any old reason.

Today Scott lives in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina with his wife Trish, and their three kids—Drew, Peter, and Patsy. In his spare time, which is rare these days, he plays drums in the 17 South Bluegrass Band and practices at his music studio, Firefly Records. Scott prefers his Firefly Moonshine “out of the jar” and says, “It’s great to see folks from all over embracing this Southern spirit.”
