I’m David Baker, Park Manager of Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site.

I grew up in Columbia SC and graduated college from University of SC at Aiken. I started in the SC State Park Service in 2007 as a Ranger 1 at Lake Warren State Park. From there I worked my way up the ranks by working at the following parks: Lake Hartwell State Park, Huntington Beach State Park, Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area, Chester State Park, Hickory Knob State Resort Park before ending up at Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site.

I have been in my current position since May of 2021.
