MEETING - Chris Hauff and Kayla Webber, Patriot's Point Naval and Marine Museum
Chris Hauff (pronounced “Howf”) serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Patriots Point Development Authority, where he supports operations across 460 acres that support the Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum—home to the historic aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, the destroyer USS Laffey, and the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s Medal of Honor Museum.
Before joining Patriots Point, Chris worked as a journalist for Charleston’s ABC News 4 and the Berkeley Herald, where he developed a lasting passion for community storytelling and public engagement.
Chris has served in leadership roles with the South Carolina chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and the East Cooper Hospitality Council, and he also supported Explore Charleston during the pandemic as part of a public relations task force to help sustain local tourism.
A University of South Carolina graduate, Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Human Resources from USC Aiken. An Eagle Scout and youth baseball coach, Chris lives in Charleston with his wife, Natalie, and their son, Jonah.
Kayla Webber is the Director of Community Relations and Membership at the USS Yorktown Foundation, the fundraising partner for Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. She leverages data-driven strategies to strengthen fundraising and membership programs, overseeing engagement, annual campaigns, and signature fundraising events that advance the Foundation’s mission.
A recognized innovator in her field, she has presented at national conferences including the Historic Naval Ships Association (HNSA), the American Museum Membership Conference (AMMC), the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), and Blackbaud’s bbcon.
