Lauren Rust is a marine biologist and executive director of the Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network. After 18 years of working with marine mammals across the globe at places like the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Charleston and The Marine Mammal Center in California, she’s brought her love and expertise of marine mammals back to the Lowcountry.

With a science background and an interest in education, Lauren’s goals are to bring a greater awareness and appreciation of Charleston’s true locals, our resident dolphins.
