Eric Adams serves as the Director of Charleston County Public Works Department. The department’s mission is to deliver transportation and drainage infrastructure improvements through a variety of services: maintenance, engineering, and construction management. These services include overseeing capital improvement projects, managing and permitting stormwater activities, and providing mosquito control services. The Public Works Department consists of 246 full time employees who strive to serve the community in an efficient, responsible, and diligent manner.

Eric began his employment with Charleston County in 2005 after previously working in the private sector and has 26 years of engineering and construction management experience in the Charleston region.

Eric is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of South Carolina.  He received both his Bachelors and Masters in Engineering from Florida State University.
