MEETING - Matt Williams - Lowcountry Land Trust

Matt Williams is a native of the Santee Delta in Georgetown County where he grew up on Kinloch Plantation. He has more than a decade of experience in non-profit administration, managing personnel, large-scale events, print and online content, partner relations, and philanthropic fundraising with both private individuals and corporations.
Matt began his career with The Explorers Club in New York City where he served as Executive Director for the 100-year-old non-profit organization. Later, he joined the International Conservation Caucus Foundation in Washington, D.C. where he launched their first donor program, worked on its Africa team developing corporate partnerships, and helped organize congressional delegations to Africa.
Matt currently serves as the CEO/President of the Lowcountry Land Trust where he helps lead a team that protects critical habitat and greenspace through conservation easements and fee simple acquisitions across 17 coastal counties in SC.
Matt was graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Print Journalism and Mass Communications. He lives in Charleston, SC and is the proud father of two young kids who he keeps in the outdoors as much as possible. He spends most of his spare time performing music or in nature either fishing, boating or duck hunting.
