April Elswick serves as the Construction Project Manager and Volunteer Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County, where she has dedicated the past four and a half years to building homes, communities, and hope. A proud Berkeley County native, April brings both professional expertise and a servant’s heart to her work — bridging the gap between affordable housing needs and community action.

In addition to her role at Habitat, April is an active member of the Moncks Corner Rotary Club, where she currently serves as Membership Chair. Her commitment to service extends beyond her professional life and into every corner of her community.

April and her husband, Shawn, have been married for 26 years and live in Macedonia with their beloved English Bulldog, Rufus. They are the proud parents of two children—a daughter who serves as a 911 dispatcher and a son who works as a Berkeley County corrections deputy and serves in the National Guard.

Today, April joins us to share insights on the impact of affordable housing in our communities, what it truly takes to make it happen, and how, as Rotarians, we can be part of the solution.
