Shirley Berardo – Cultural Arts Center

 

Shirley Berardo was a member of the Gig Harbor, WA and the Clarksville, TN Rotary Clubs. Currently, she is the Summerville Noon Rotary Club Executive Secretary and VP.

A highlight of her 23-year IBM senior management career, was bringing the IBM Touch and Stylus technology to market. Shirley founded the Prince William County Cultural Arts Federation in VA.

Later, as a retiree she founded the Gig Harbor Key Peninsula Cultural Arts Commission in WA. While in Summerville, she founded the Del Webb Society of Singers, Writers’ Circle and Fine Arts Club.

Shirley will speak of her latest endeavor, that of building a Cultural Arts Center in the Tri-County – Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester area to include those of differing abilities. Her heart is determined to provide those afflicted with a sense of self and confidence through arts programming, while offering caretakers a peaceful respite.
