Paul Walter is a member of Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island. He is a native South Carolinian, residing on Hilton Head Island where he has lived since graduating from Wofford College in 1992. He is a Senior Vice President/Area Manager for the Hilton Head market of Pinnacle Financial Partners. Paul has been in his current position since 2002 and in banking since 1992.

He has served in various roles in his Rotary club since 2003 to present. He was Club President in 2013-14 during which time he led the club to Large Club of the Year recognition at the District Conference in March 2014. He has received the District Club Builder Award in 2014-15. He is an RLI graduate, Paul Allen Ten Star Rotarian, a Major Donor, member of the Paul Harris Society, Bequest Society and a Benefactor.

At the District level, he has served as EarlyAct Chair since 2013, District Treasurer from 2016 to 2019, Governor Nominee, Governor Elect and currently serves as District Governor. He received the District Service Above Self Award in 2016-17.

Paul is proudest of his Rotary service with EarlyAct Club of Hilton Head Elementary and Junior Interact Club of Hilton Head Middle School.

Paul and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for eighteen years and have two daughters, Hanna (15) and Celia (13). He is a member, Elder (not currently serving), and former Finance Committee Chair of First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head Island.

Paul’s interests outside Rotary include spending time with his family, researching genealogy, hunting deer and turkey, and is currently undertaking a new farming venture to plant longleaf pines in Williamsburg County on a family farm.
